Luis Mora, of the Trujillo Government team, maintained the lead and became champion of the 62nd edition of the Vuelta a Venezuela

Mora led the 62nd Vuelta a Venezuela, both in the mountains and on the flat courses with a total time of 27 hours 54 minutes and 32 seconds, the second place on the podium went to Juan López (GW Erco-Shimano) 30 seconds behind the champion and the third place went to the Venezuelan Juan Ruiz (Trujillo Governorate) one minute and five seconds.

The sprints (33) and points (88) prizes went to Cristian Vélez from New Granada, the combined classification was won by Mora, the excellent climber's jacket went to Jorge Abreu (Fina Arroz-Banca Amiga) with 20 units, the Colombian Camilo Gómez (GW Erco-Shimano) stood out as the best under-23 and the most consistent team was the Colombian Shimano with 83 hours 50 minutes and 4 seconds.

The Colombian Cristian Vélez climbed to the top of the podium in the eighth stage, after completing a 120-kilometer circuit, which started and arrived at the Petare Wall and traveled along Francisco de Miranda Avenue along La California, Los Cortijos, Miranda Park and with a return in Los Palos Grandes.

Vélez dominated the stage with a time of 2 hours 25 minutes and 28 seconds, accompanied by Leangel Meneses and Edwin Torres, all with the same time as the winner.

The last stage in no way changed the lead in the general classification that was held by Luis “Chacarito” Mora (Trujillo Governorate) and he became the new champion of the Tour of Venezuela.
