Marching bands from Aragua are getting ready to participate in the Guinness Record

With a view to establishing the Guinness Record
for the biggest marching band in the world, the groups from the southeastern axis of
the state of Aragua held their third general rehearsal, ahead of the event
scheduled for September 29 in Caracas.
The practice took place in Agustín
Codazzi Park and brought together representatives of bands from the municipalities of Zamora,
Santiago Mariño, Sucre and Bolívar, according to a note from Venezolana de Televisión.
In this regard, the president of the
Autonomous Institute of Marching Bands of Aragua, Randolfo Zapata, who accompanied the
activity, highlighted the discipline and enthusiasm shown by the groups during the day.
He also stressed that the purpose of these
activities is to strengthen the artistic and musical preparation of the
participants.
“The central objective is to prepare for
next September 29 in the capital city on Paseo Los Próceres, where
more than 18,000 bandits from all over the country will be on stage to leave the name
of our state and of Venezuela,” he said.
The groups Aurion Marching Band, Funda Gil, Puma de Oro, Manuel Piar, Lazo Martí and Fundación Banda Show Jesús de Nazareth participated in the rehearsal, whose members received pre-military instruction in instrumental sections and performed martial practices on the subjects selected for the presentation.
