Mayor Carmen Meléndez supervised rehabilitation of the Anaconda ravine in La Yaguara

This Sunday, September 20, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, supervised the construction of a desander and a gabion wall in the Anaconda ravine, in La Yaguara, El Paraíso parish, for the correct channeling of the waters of this tributary.

On his account on the social network Instagram, he specified that “this Sunday we are inspecting this engineering work that will control the dragging and dispersion of sediments and will make way for new construction work in the area”.

“The rehabilitation is being carried out by the Libertador Municipal Services Corporation, and is expected to be completed before the month of December. Thus, what used to be a solid waste dump is now transformed into a terrace system that will prevent the passage of large objects, in addition to a contradiction, and everything necessary to stabilize the passage of the ravine,” he explained.

He also reported on the inspection of the rehabilitation work of the Doctor Luis Morquio Early Childhood Education Center, in the Sucre parish.

“245 kindergarten and preschool boys and girls will soon begin their activities in these spaces, where the work encompasses five classrooms, kitchen, dining room, management, submanagement, recreation area, auditorium, office, bathrooms, among others,” he explained.

Meléndez pointed out that “through the Venezuela Renace Plan, there are more than a hundred schools that we are optimizing with crews from the Mayor's Office of Caracas and Community Brigades from the different parishes.”
