From the state of Nueva Esparta, this Saturday, February 14, the Minister of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reported that the National Experimental Security University (UNES) went from seven thousand to 32 thousand applications for admission and that is “a very good sign”.
On the day of the activation of the Peace Quadrants in the island state, the holder of the Interior, Justice and Peace portfolio specified that “until recently there were few requests and that new figure was registered in December”. He commented that the same situation is happening in the ranks of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) with which it is clear that “despite what happened in Venezuela, this people are not afraid. (...) This people want to continue building and one thing that is transversal for everyone is peace”.
“There isn't a single country in America that has better security ratings, there isn 't. We have less than three crimes per 100,000 inhabitants and here we don't fall for it ourselves, we check the crime rates every week and we check and the increase has been in the computer issue, digital crimes that are difficult to track but not in the territory, because this is a conscious people,” he said.
Minister Cabello added that “President Nicolás Maduro gave this instruction that each communal circuit should be a Quadrants of Peace and if anyone has supported that and all this endowment that we have provided throughout the country, it is comrade Delcy Rodríguez, who is vice-president and now president in charge.”
