Minister Cardillo announced sports games for the temporary camps for next week

The Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, reported that next week the sports games will begin in the 107 temporary camps installed in Caracas and in the states of La Guaira, Miranda and Aragua, in addition to stressing that the activity is part of the accompaniment to families affected by the double earthquake of June 24.

The announcement was made during the sports day in Los Próceres, after the “We Run for Venezuela” race, in which more than 3,000 participants expressed support for the communities that remain in the camps.

“It's important that our families have spaces for recreation, sports, physical activity and also for yoga. We are going to start the games in the temporary camps to keep the free time of children, adolescents, women and older adults busy,” Cardillo said.

The holder of the sports portfolio highlighted that the race brought together running clubs from Greater Caracas, in addition to consolidating an activity to support those who face the consequences of earthquakes.

“We run with the purpose of accompanying and supporting all families who were victims of the great earthquakes of June 24,” he said.
