Minister Daniella Cabello: Margarita Island expects 60 to 80 thousand people to visit it

The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, said that during carnivals in 2025, Margarita Island had a hotel occupancy of 70% and in 2026 an increase of at least 80% is expected and that between 60 and 80,000 people will visit.

He specified that “Margarita is our beautiful island and a reference for tourism at a national and international level”. He added that it is important to know that recreation is a constitutional right and therefore the Town of Margarita has the right to have fun, to be happy and to share healthily in these carnivals 2026.

He said that the Viva Venezuela Carnival contemplates a deployment of more than eight thousand recreational people nationwide, 466 information points from the Ministry of Tourism.

The head of the ministerial portfolio thanked the governor of the state for the invitation, while stating that she is committed to “raising the island of Margarita as the flag of the most beautiful tourist place that Venezuela has in the world, where there are the most beautiful beaches in the world, for the best thing it has is the people who always welcome you with open arms”.

He said that the security deployment that takes place throughout the country is a guarantee of “carnivals in peace and even if they want to take away our right to be happy, we have the right to share these carnivals healthily and with the family”
