Minister Diosdado Cabello activates Peace Quadrants in Nueva Esparta (+Photos)

This Saturday, February 14, the sectoral vice-president of Politics,
Security, Citizenship and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reported that
64 Peace Quadrants were adapted in the state of Nueva Esparta.
“To fulfill here in Nueva Esparta that it has 64 Quadrants of Peace because there are 64 Communes, you think about the number if we divide 64 gives 16 exactly but there are small municipalities that have two Quadrants of Peace, for example, a car that has two, should we leave a car that has two? We didn't leave it,” he explained.


On the day, the Minister of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that, as part of the new culture of security at the service of the people, our children must trust their police forces.


Regarding the deployment of the carnival holiday, he explained that as part of the security deployment of Carnival 2026, 228,028 officials from the different police forces, Civil Protection (PC), Firefighters and Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) have been arranged for the protection and attention of the People.


In this regard, he specified that to guarantee comprehensive care, civil servants have 3,750 vehicles, 11,400 motorcycles, 1,348 bicycles, as well as special fire and rescue vehicles, 556 ambulances, 71 free cranes, seven aircraft including helicopters and planes.
In addition to this, he indicated that 120,216 emergency medical posts and 3,286 checkpoints have been set up on all roads and highways in the country.


In relation to the state of Nueva Esparta, Minister Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reported that the deployment in the entity includes 2,974 police officers, civil protection (PC), firefighters and the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
He specified that these officials have 78 vehicles, 295 motorcycles, 20 ambulances and two maritime vessels, while stressing that the entity has 35 beaches suitable for visitors.


For her part, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, pointed out that during carnivals in 2025, Margarita Island had a hotel occupancy of 70% and in 2026 an increase of at least 80% is expected and that between 60 and 80,000 people will visit.
