On the occasion of the Activation of the Peace Quadrants in Sucre state, this Monday, March 02, the Sectorial Vice President for Policy, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reported that the Bolivarian Government delivered a batch of patrol and motorcycle units.
He specified that there were 78 Quadrants of Peace, “we are going to move to 224 Quadrants across the state. We have been responsible for providing the Quadrants with vehicles and also with a telephone (...) that connects it to 911.”
“We have taken the account (...) and the units, the 60 patrols that are going to be delivered here in Sucre, belong to the people. I like to clarify things because I review it myself,” he said.
At this point, he emphasized that the activation of the Peace Quadrants, “is a guarantee of tranquility and peace for the People, where there was not one before, now they will have two motorcycles and a van that will be patrolling their Quadrant, not on the 14th or the 24th, no, but where it belongs.”
Minister Cabello specified that “I want to thank our sister governor for all the support to consolidate this proposal of President Nicolás Maduro, this issue of the Peace Quadrants.”
He explained that the objective is that each Community Circuit must become a Peace Quadrant, “we have been doing this throughout the national territory.”
The minister stressed that the issue of security belongs to all State Security Bodies, but also to the entire population.
Referring to the National Popular Consultation of March 8, he stressed that units and motorcycles can be used to mobilize the People, “without problems, because it is for Popular Power to express itself, to do so voluntarily, and to have the means to do so.”
He also specified that Sucre already has 145 Security Cameras, “and we are going to keep moving forward, because it helps, the camera is prevention.”
With this activation, 224 communes will benefit depending on citizen security.
