In the framework of strengthening national mining as an engine of growth and integral development in the country, the Minister of the People's Power for Ecological Mining Development and Basic Industries, Héctor Silva, visited the Bosco community, located in the Sifontes municipality of Bolívar state.
During the meeting, he was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Other Non-Gold Strategic Minerals, Jesús Mieres, as well as by various military authorities and representatives of the Mining Engine and Basic Industries, the Ministry said in a press release.
During the day, Silva highlighted the decisive role of the popular organization in the sector for the success of the consultation. “Let's keep organizing because that's where the real triumph of communal democracy lies,” he said.
He also specified that this work responds to the guidelines given by the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, aimed at “continuing to listen to communities and keep moving forward in order to attract more investment for the well-being of all the Venezuelan people.”
The minister announced the creation of a Mining Services Office and the construction of a high school for the direct benefit of the entire Bosco community.
“Let's start with all the willingness, together with a work team and the Community Council, the task of coordination and evaluation,” he urged.
For its part, the community added its contributions through shared work agendas, focused on environmental remediation, the strengthening of community plans and the allocation of technical and financial support schemes.
Also, during the assembly, the logistics infrastructure set up in the Sifontes municipality was presented, which includes 9 communal territories, 10 polling stations and 15 voting stations. This is in order to guarantee the necessary conditions for communal circuits and mining sectors in the region to fully exercise their right to vote.
With these actions, the National Executive ratified its permanent support for community projects, consolidating the territorial management entrusted by President Delcy Rodríguez.
