Minister Padrino López: 411 aircraft have been neutralized in the national territory

The Sectorial Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty and Minister of Popular Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, from the Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela (UMBV), highlighted that the Integral Aerospace Defense Command has neutralized 411 aircraft in the national territory.

Padrino López stated that all these ships were used for drug trafficking purposes. “We remain vigilant because violating airspace for any military purpose to attack our nation or to smuggle weapons or drug trafficking is a violation of our airspace,” he said.

He asserted that if any aircraft for the purposes mentioned above were to land in Venezuelan territory, it will receive its respective treatment in accordance with the Venezuelan Airspace Control Act.

“We will continue to protect our national sovereignty . So from the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army, we tell all the people that we are working hard to guarantee security,” he added.

He also announced that six runways have been destroyed this week, which were clandestine. “Trust in your Bolivarian National Armed Force, trust in the leadership of our Commander in Chief, Nicolás Maduro, who we are articulating, cohesive and united every day more with the National Power for the defense of the Fatherland.”
