Minister Rodríguez inspected the recovery of 28 schools in Anzoátegui

Some 28 schools in the state of Anzoátegui are being recovered for the start of the 2026-2027 school year, announced the Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, during an inspection of schools in the state.

“We are reviewing that everything is in order so that this September 14, more than 6 million children return to classrooms,” said the Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez, during the inspection of the Diego Bautista Urbaneja Educational Complex in Lechería, which already offers safe spaces for the start of the new 2026-2027 school year.

He highlighted that teachers are receiving training sessions in natural sciences, mathematics, language practices, identity and history from their schools.

Rodríguez reported that for this new school year, a seismic simulation will be incorporated in each period and that institutions are being equipped with the necessary tools to deal with this type of emergency and provide socio-emotional responses.

He recalled that in this educational complex, through the Foundation for Buildings and Educational Endowments (FEDE) in conjunction with the Ministry of People's Power for Public Works, roof waterproofing was carried out in three modules, rehabilitation of the electrical system, application of internal and external painting, installation of air conditioning, weeding and beautification.

In addition, classrooms were intervened with the replacement of table-chairs and furniture, sanitary rooms, two sports courts and the dining and kitchen area, which were equipped with electrical appliances, clothing and materials.

For his part, the governor of the entity, Luis Marcano announced that the deployment is being maintained “to evaluate the conditions before the start of classes in the almost thousand educational institutions that we have in Anzoátegui”.

The first exercise of the National Eviction Simulation in the Face of Natural Disasters will take place from October 28 to 30, 2026.

In each academic period, a simulation will be carried out on a mandatory basis: the second national exercise was scheduled for April 29, 2027 and the third for June 30, 2027.
