Minister Villegas: Government guarantees drinking water to families staying in temporary camps

This Sunday, July 12, the Minister of Popular Power for Industries and National Commerce, Luis Villegas Ramírez, reported that the Bolivarian Government remains permanently deployed in compliance with the plan of action of the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, to provide assistance and comprehensive care to families affected by the recent earthquakes.

In this regard, he stressed the importance of complying with all hygiene processes “and one of the instructions given to us by the General Staff and President Delcy Rodríguez is to guarantee drinking water for families staying in temporary camps.”

In statements to Venezolana de Televisión, from the Caracas Storage Agency, Villegas Ramírez, said that they are active to distribute equipment to the temporary camps, “in these spaces we have specialized teams that go to the temporary camps and install water treatment plants to guarantee the vital liquid: drinking water.”

He also reaffirmed “the contribution and effort being made by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), men and women in uniforms who are present in these spaces selecting and classifying, receiving and carrying material to the camps. They're in Zone 0, the disaster zone.”

“Our colleagues in the Armed Forces are supporting the rescuers, with security, they are present in the warehouses,” he said.
