Ministry of Food serves 160 families affected by a double earthquake in Colonia Tovar

A total of 160 families that were affected by the double earthquake of last June 24 are being cared for by personnel from the Ministry of Popular Power for Food in Colonia Tovar in the state of Aragua.
In this regard, seven Transitional Camps were established located in the sectors El Portachuelo, Las Hernández, Las Peonías, Santa Ana, Paraulata, El Hondon and Sin Fin, which serve families whose homes were affected by earthquakes.
The territorial director of the Aragua state of the food portfolio, Brian Díaz, explained that each company affiliated with the ministerial portfolio has the logistical responsibility of a camp for care, accompaniment and support, and the work is carried out in an articulated manner with the staff of the Tovar mayor's office under the direction of Maximiliano Tovar.
“In total, we are serving 160 families throughout the municipality whose houses were affected by the earthquake and resulted in total loss,” he said.
He specified that in the EBE Portachuelo Transitional Camp there are 12 families consisting of 34 people. “We have 16 children (including four infants) and 16 adults (including a person with a special condition) in addition to an older adult and an adolescent. Every day they have a healthy, tasty, safe and sovereign menu, as instructed by our Bolivarian Government,” he said.
Diaz said that every Sunday guests are offered a special menu to make them feel grateful and loving.
