Within the framework of the Risk Mitigation Plan and under the supervision of the Ministry of the People's Power of Public Works, strategic protection, channeling and reuse tasks are being carried out on the Frío River, located in the Agustín Codazzi agro-industrial sector of the Francisco Javier Pulgar municipality in the state of Zulia.

Despite the adversities generated by the climatic conditions in the area, the workforce maintains a continuous operational deployment to consolidate this vitally important work that will directly benefit 1,500 inhabitants and 300 producers in the region, strengthening local development, details a press release from the ministerial portfolio.

The tasks include deforestation and cleaning on the left bank of existing walls through the use of specialized long and short arm machinery, covering a considerable area to optimize the flow. In addition, rectification work began on an affected section of the retaining wall on the downstream right bank, ensuring the stability of the hydraulic structure and preventing possible overflows.
