Ministry of Transport achieves 90% progress in protection works for Troncal 7 in Portuguesa

The Ministry of Popular Power for Transport, through its Portuguese State Directorate, records 90% of execution in the channeling works of the Chabasquén River, as well as in the construction of protective structures on the Troncal 7 highway, at the height of the La Tizanera sector, Sucre municipality.

The technical intervention plan seeks to contain the impact of water and prevent structural damage to this strategic road artery, which is essential for mobility and socio-economic development in the area.

The tasks of the technical staff include the reduction with a pump, the construction of gabion walls with their drainage and the concrete coating, to enable a channel to divert the riverbed, protecting this important road that connects the region.

With the early completion of these tasks, the Ministry of Transport reaffirms its commitment to maintaining safe, operational and protected roads for the benefit of drivers and communities in the Portuguese state.
