Venezuela reached 8,500 mobile payment transactions per minute during August, according to updated data from the Venezuelan Chamber of Electronic Commerce.

The president of the union, Richard Ujueta, stated that this modality is an indicator of economic digitalization and recalled that in 2025 it stood at 6,000 operations per minute and that by June of this year it exceeded 7,000.

Ujueta specified that the country has one of the highest figures in the region, in addition to noting that 99% of operations are carried out digitally and in bolivars.

The business representative indicated that the union promotes digital transformation through electronic invoicing and said that this mechanism allows for less inquisitive treatment of taxpayers, according to Último Noticias.

He also highlighted the impact of the Law for the Speed and Optimization of Administrative Procedures, considering it a framework that streamlines processes, reduces bureaucracy and supports the growth of formal electronic commerce in the country.
