More than 20 organizations discuss environmental strategies for the recovery of La Guaira

More than 20 organizations and social movements participated in the Second Prospective Meeting with Environmentalists after the 24J earthquake, in Caraballeda, La Guaira state.
According to information published on the web portal of Radio Nacional de Venezuela (RNV), this day will articulate comprehensive solutions after the effects generated by the seismic event, and seeks to prioritize the protection of the regional ecosystem.
In this regard, the Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Nelson Rodríguez , stressed the importance of systematizing the approaches of the Communes and Community Councils to build a recovery strategy whose cross-cutting axis is environmental preservation.
The environmental movements present emphasized the need to deepen the social organizational structures achieved so far, and to include in the plans the risk component, as well as solid environmental training at all levels.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Integral Waste Management, Mailing Perdomo; the manager of National Parks, Carola Herrera; deputy Oliver Rivas, representing the Permanent Committee on Ecosocialism of the National Assembly (AN) and the vice-rector of the Popular University of the Environment Fruto Vivas, Orestes Bastida.
