More than 2,000 schools in Miranda opened their doors to receive Mirandino students

A total of 2,262 schools in the state of Miranda opened their doors for the start of the 2026-2027 school year, said the governor of the entity, Elio Serrano.

From the Guaicaipura Bolivarian National Educational Unit, located in the Cartanal municipality of Santa Lucía, the local authority explained that of the educational institutions that are starting activities today, 1,410 are state or municipal.

In addition, in statements collected by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), he highlighted that almost 40,000 teachers joined at the start of the new school year.

According to the governor, the Guaicaipura National Bolivarian School had a total refraction and recovery of infrastructure, following the double earthquake of last June 24.

“It's exciting to see how our children and young people have been deployed in educational institutions in the state, particularly after the double earthquake, thus visualizing the thrill of returning to school activities,” he said.
