The commander of the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) 31 Apure, G/D Daniel Galarraga, reported that more than 2,500 military personnel, 2,000 officers of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) and 1,700 state police officers are deployed to carry out citizen security tasks and protect 710 kilometers of border with the Republic of Colombia.

“We rank fifth nationally, as one of the safest states in Venezuela, which has been the product of the work of the entire territorial defense system, with the perfect military, police and popular fusion,” explained the senior military official.

This cooperation, as he explained, allows the reception of popular intelligence information, “and it has also facilitated the immediate action of citizen security agencies or our Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) if necessary,” he clarified in statements collected by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

Finally, the commander of the ZODI assured that they will work continuously to maintain the protection of the Venezuelan nation and guarantee internal security, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the regional and national territory.
