The president of the College of Dentists of Venezuela, Pablo Quintero, reported that approximately 879 dentists from different parts of the country have volunteered so far to care for the victims of the earthquakes that occurred in the country on June 24.

According to information published by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the professional specified that during the conference they have observed many cases of bruxism, oral infections, abscesses and dental caries. “In these first approaches, there has been emergency care, pain management, many extractions that have been performed in these processes.”

It was also known that a group of dental professionals joined the forensic teams to support the identification of bodies in La Guaira and those that were transferred to the National Service of Medicine and Forensic Sciences (SENAMECF) in Bello Monte.
