Within the framework of Plan Venezuela Renace, the Blood Bank of the Central Hospital of Maracay (HCM) received high-tech refrigeration equipment from the Ministry of People's Power for Health (MPPS), in coordination with UNICEF Venezuela, to optimize the protection of blood components in the health center.
Elba Petit, general director of the HCM, explained that the new equipment has a storage capacity for 100 units of blood components. This addition will optimize the preservation of red blood cells and ensure timely treatment for scheduled surgeries and emergency transfusions, in the main health center in the state of Aragua.
“Having a new refrigerator speeds up the availability of blood, an action that directly increases and strengthens the capacity for immediate care for patients who attend the health center on a daily basis,” he said, a press release from MPPS.
These actions confirm the commitment of the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, to consolidate the National Public Health System (SPNS), to ensure the well-being of the people.
