Padrino López: Imperialism's attack on our country represents a threat to global order

The attacks of US imperialism against our country create a serious precedent that allows any State, any country, to be attacked by the United States (USA) without international law, said Defense Minister, G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

“We ask the world to look carefully at what is happening against Venezuela, its sovereignty, its Constitution. Let the world soak its beards, because this severely represents a threat to the global order. If today it was against Venezuela, tomorrow it could be against any State, against any country,” he highlighted in a joint radio and television broadcast.

In addition, the senior military official thanked, on behalf of Venezuela, the expressions of support from the Peoples of the world and legitimate governments, who have raised their voices to repudiate the aggression of the United States against our Homeland.

“We reject that colonialist pretense that we want to implement in the spirit of the Monroe Doctrine on Latin America and the Caribbean. We vote for peace, for political dialogue, for understanding, for respect for human rights, for international law, those are our genuine votes,” he stressed.
