Padrino says that the Independence 200 exercises have been a success: “I have never seen anything so inclusive in the field”

The Independence 200 exercises have been completely successful, as they have made it possible to deepen the popular-military-police union to ensure the comprehensive defense of the nation, said Defense Minister, G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

“This exercise can be described as successful, in my years of service I have never seen anything in the field so integrative, organizing, articulating, to implement all the tasks necessary for the integral defense of the nation, in the face of the imperialist threats that we have deployed in the nearby Caribbean,” said the senior military official during statements made this Tuesday.

In this regard, he criticized the threats posed by the United States against our country and highlighted the rejection they have had before the entire international community. “They seek to achieve peace through force, when this is a human virtue, which is not decreed with missiles, with signatures, with bombings, peace is a human value that is built day by day,” he stressed.

He also emphasized the efforts that the National Government, led by President Nicolás Maduro, together with the Venezuelan people, have made to maintain peace in our territory, despite the attempts of the stateless right to achieve aggressions and sanctions against Venezuela.

“No antipatriotic, surrendering and genuflexing project is viable in this country as long as there are soldiers who inherit the glories of our Liberators and that follow the impeccable legacy of our Supreme Commander, Hugo Chávez. Our soldiers are going to defend our homeland no matter what it costs us,” he emphasized.
