For 80 years, photographers and cameramen in the country have been celebrating their day, this commemoration taking place with the creation of the Venezuelan Photojournalist Circle on May 6, 1945.
Photographic journalism, graphic journalism, photojournalism or graphic reporting, is a genre of journalism that has to do directly with photography, graphic design and video.
These professionals complement the journalist's work by obtaining the images that accompany the written news.
At the international level, photojournalists celebrate their day on May 19, 1912, the date on which the first trade organization of photographers called the Union of Press Photographers was founded in Copenhagen Denmark, consisting in principle of six professionals in the area, collecting local media.
