Plan Cayapa Heroica optimizes systems at the Dr. Manuel Núñez Tovar University Hospital in Maturín

The Cayapa Heroica national plan, promoted by the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE Monagas), carried out a technical intervention for the recovery and start-up of the refrigeration system (cellar room) of the Dr. Manuel Núñez Tovar University Hospital (HUMazo News Team), located in the San Simón Centro parish of the Maturín municipality, Monagas state.

The specialized conference, held from September 7 to 11, made it possible to optimize the hospital infrastructure of this sentinel center, which serves approximately 1,195 patients daily, consolidating the strengthening of the National Public Health System through sovereign technological solutions.

During the technical deployment, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), the specialized team carried out the relocation of the condensing unit, the maintenance with deep cleaning of the evaporator unit and the verification of its five motor-fans. In the electrical and control area, the technologists cabled and connected circuits to the compressor's main board, and incorporated a Paragon clock to regulate equipment shutdowns and ensure energy efficiency.

In addition, the tasks included the optimization of the cooling circuit through specialized welding, the replacement of components such as the 1/2 inch screw dryer filter, nuts, elbows and rings, in addition to nitrogen sweeping, general vacuum and the final charge of R-22 refrigerant gas. After these actions, the system continued to operate during a trial period to ensure the conservation of essential healthcare supplies in the hospital.
