Plan Cayapa Heroica recovered health and agriculture equipment in Falcón

Through the Cayapa Heroica National Plan, the technical team of the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology in Falcón State (FUNACITE Falcón) carried out equipment inspection, maintenance and recovery approaches in the field of public health and regional agricultural research.

In the agri-food sector, the brigade members carried out technical inspection and maintenance work in the plant laboratory and the mobile laboratory of the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIA). The tasks included the preventive and corrective maintenance of a conductometer, three thermo-hygrometers and a pH-meter/thermometer, and were put into operation.

These actions were developed in conjunction with the Biomedical Engineering Training Center of the Francisco de Miranda National Experimental University (UNEFM), directly benefiting six specialists in the area to strengthen the institution's research capacity.

In parallel, the Cayapa Heroica National Plan team addressed the pediatric emergency service of the Dr. Alfredo Van Grieken University Hospital, located in Coro. During the deployment, the specialists designed, manufactured and installed 3D printed parts to repair the roller support support of a Contec electrocardiograph.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), after carrying out the technical tests, the equipment became fully operational for the care of the nursing staff and the children who attend this health care center.
