Plan Venezuela Renace deploys 171 work teams in Caracas

The Mayor's Office of Caracas maintains a total of 171 work fronts active within the framework of the Venezuela Renace Plan, with the purpose of rehabilitating buildings and public spaces that were affected as a result of the double earthquake recorded in the 22 parishes of the capital.

The information was released by Mayor Carmen Meléndez, through her social networks, who explained that the tasks are carried out as a priority in different educational establishments in the jurisdiction.

According to the local president, the Private Educational Unit Colegio Agustiniano San Judas Tadeo, the Ibero-American Lyceum and the María Rosa Morales Educational Unit are being intervened.

In the same way, he indicated that recently “we had the delivery of three buildings; this is in addition to those delivered by the president yesterday, in order to respond to those affected by the seismic double.”

The municipal deployment also includes major works in other nerve points of the city. Among the actions, the continuous intervention in the Tower of David, the sanitation of the Anaconda ravine and the construction of gabion walls in sectors such as Pinto Salinas and Cristo Rey to guarantee the safety of communities stand out.

Geographic distribution

Regarding the geographical distribution of the plan, Meléndez specified that the allocation of human and technical resources is focused according to the needs of each area. Currently, 29 fronts operate in San Bernardino parish, 18 on January 23, 13 in San Pedro and 13 in Santa Teresa, while the rest of the parishes have teams ranging from 1 to 8 active fronts.
