President Delcy Rodríguez arrives at the Presidential Palace of Suriname

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, arrived this Friday at the Presidential Palace of Suriname, where she was received by the president of that country, Jennifer Simons, as part of her official visit to strengthen ties between the two nations.
After her arrival in Suriname, the Venezuelan head of state emphasized the will to advance a joint agenda aimed at deepening the relationship of friendship and cooperation between Venezuela and Suriname, as well as promoting initiatives that generate benefits for both peoples.
During the visit, it is planned to address new business alliances and cooperation projects in areas such as energy, maritime and air transport, agriculture, fishing, trade, tourism, culture and education.
In addition, both delegations will continue the dialogue initiated between the authorities of the two countries last May.
The visit also contemplates making progress in the creation of a High-Level Joint Commission, a mechanism aimed at evaluating and promoting bilateral cooperation projects in areas of common interest.
