President (E) Delcy Rodríguez merges ministries of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the merger of the ministries of the People's Power for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, which will form the new Ministry of the People's Power for Relations and Foreign Trade.

“To lead this new phase, I appointed internationalist Félix Plasencia, who has extensive experience in diplomacy and will have the mission of directing Venezuelan foreign policy, defending our sovereignty, strengthening cooperative relations and promoting peace diplomacy in the world,” he wrote in a message broadcast through his digital channels.

He added that “I thank Johan Álvarez, who will go on to fulfill new responsibilities.”
