The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, ratified this Wednesday the construction of human cities in the country after the double earthquake of last June 24.
During the installation of the workshop with the United Nations (UN) for the Reconstruction Plan after the earthquakes, from the Miraflores Palace, the president in charge stressed that this initiative must serve “to think about a national plan for Venezuela, which is the Venezuela that is reborn”.
“It's a new Venezuela with these concepts, with the concept of human development, with the concept of the human city. The human city is not only in infrastructure, it is what allows it to have harmony with the environment in the park, in the square, in the public space, in the health center, in the school. The rights of nature must guide all our plans,” he said.
He stressed that the workshop with the UN “will bear extraordinary fruits, because we have demonstrated that we are capable of establishing very effective coordination mechanisms with international organizations and with the United Nations System, that we are very capable of moving forward as quickly as possible to recover the human life of people who were impacted, who can recover a home, who can have their homes”.
