The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, confirmed this Monday that families who are in temporary camps after the earthquakes of last June 24 will be transferred to their own homes.
During a ceremony to hand over 87 new fully furnished homes in Ciudad Tiuna, Caracas, the president in charge stated that the “greatest happiness is to hand over the key to their new house to a boy, a girl who is going to build a home with her family, parents, uncles, grandparents and brothers.”
“What we are doing in this process of recovery and reconstruction is to provide hope to the families who were victims of the double earthquake, to provide for the future, to let the children know that they have a home in their future, a house, that the temporary camps that we are taking care of today are all going to go out to a home, to a house,” he remarked.
