President (E): My father's example continues to inspire us to build a peaceful Venezuela

The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, honored her father, Jorge Antonio Rodríguez, on the 50th anniversary of his physical departure.

Through a post on Telegram, he said, “With the love of a daughter and the certainty that her legacy lives on, I remember my father, Jorge Antonio Rodríguez, on the 50th anniversary of his planting. Their example continues to inspire us to build a Venezuela of peace, justice and prosperity.”

He also reiterated his commitment to always honor his memory, “moving forward with the conviction of making the country for which he offered his life a reality.”

Earlier from the General Cemetery of the South, Rodríguez recalled that every year, for five decades, family members and relatives have come to the place to pay homage.

“Every year we wear a flower, but every day that flower grows in our hearts and in our awareness of building a better country,” he said.
