President (E) on the Leasing Act: 400,000 homes will benefit

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, said on Monday that around 400,000 homes that were frozen will benefit from the reform of the Leasing Law recently approved by the National Assembly.

“I especially want to thank the National Assembly for having approved the reform, this Leasing Law that allows win-win relationships for the owner of the apartment, for the owner of the house, for the owner, as well as for those who want to rent,” he said from the urban planning office Ciudad Tiuna, in Caracas, where it delivered 87 new homes to families affected by the double earthquake of last June 24.

He stressed that this legal instrument “will allow many homes that were now paralyzed, frozen, to enter the real estate market with a law that distributes burdens and that allows the relationship to be win-win both for the people who are looking to rent and for the owners.”

“We are estimating around 400,000 homes that can benefit from this law, for which I thank all the deputies and all the deputies in the country who unanimously approved this law, which allows families to access the rental real estate market in this special circumstance resulting from the double earthquake,” he added.
