President (E) Rodríguez grants General Order Francisco de Miranda in his First Class to Gianluca Rampolla

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, awarded the Order Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda in her First Class, to the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Venezuela, Gianluca Rampolla, for his work after the double earthquake of last June 24.

“I want to thank you for all your efforts as the national coordinator of the United Nations in Venezuela, and particularly the role you played during this double earthquake that has meant a natural tragedy for our country. I recognize the work of the UN System in the first stage of saving, rescuing, saving lives. There is evidence of the immediate communications and the request I made to the UN coordinator to bring all the delegations, rescuers, that could come to our country, because these are the decisive hours to save more lives,” he said.
