The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, through her social media account announced a series of legal and financial measures to support families affected by the double earthquakes of June 24.
“Protecting families affected by the double earthquake is our top priority. I have asked the Supreme Court to establish a special jurisdiction to deal with civil matters related to the property and identity of individuals: those who lost their apartments keep their rights on the ground and will have the support of the State for the reconstruction. This jurisdiction will also address civil effects related to identity and succession issues,” wrote the president in charge.
I also announced that families who lost their homes already have the support of the national bank to purchase housing in the secondary market. The Venezuela Renace Fund will subsidize 80% of the value of real estate of up to 70,000 dollars, and families will access credit for the remaining 20%, with a term of 25 years; and for homes valued between 70,000 and 100,000 dollars, the Fund will subsidize 50%, while the other 50% will be covered by a loan with the same term.
“We are making firm progress in this phase of reconstruction and recovery for the rebirth of Venezuela,” stressed the president in charge.
