President in Charge announced the export of 406 tons of marine products from Nueva Esparta

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced on Monday the export of 406 tons of marine products from the state of Nueva Esparta.

During a working table with the economic sector to promote foreign trade, the president in charge pointed out that the shipment includes seaweed, octopus and various fish. “This is a sector that is developing and that has also found new markets, Venezuelan seafood products in Asia, in our hemisphere,” he said.

He stressed that this operation represents a “very important step” because we are diversifying the economy. And the state of Nueva Esparta, without a doubt, is an epicenter state of fishing activity. This activity, which grew by 9% in the first half of the year.”

In this regard, he stated that “nothing stops our country, no difficulty, adversity stops our country, the course of the economy, our growth, its development”.

In a presidential pass, the Minister of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, indicated that this is “a historic milestone, from the International Port of Guamache, where 406 tons of the best product of fishing and aquaculture, equivalent to 17 containers, are being exported.”
