The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, this Monday, June 29, at night, paid a visit to the temporary camp of Catia La Mar, in La Guaira, in order to provide direct support to families affected by the two earthquakes of last June 24.

During the tour, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, she was accompanied by the president of the National Assembly (AN) and coordinator of the General Staff for Transitional Camps and Housing, Jorge Rodríguez, and by the sectoral vice-president for Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

The authorities evaluated the situation of the population, with special emphasis on care for older adults who were affected after the recording of two powerful earthquakes in the national territory.

At the meeting with the communities, a message of calm and support was transmitted to the citizens affected by the earthquakes, ensuring the permanence of the Bolivarian Government through a humanist deployment to meet priority needs.

Also participating in the field deployment were the governor of the entity, José Alejandro Terán; the M/G Juan Ernesto Sulbarán Quintero, who heads the General Staff to deal with the contingency; the Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo; the Minister for Industry and Commerce, Luis Villegas; and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Anabel Pereira.
