This Friday, March 6th, the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reaffirmed that the differences between Venezuela and the United States government will be resolved through diplomatic channels.

This was ratified in the state of Lara, where he toured the Socialist Agricultural Commune of El Maizal, as part of the Grand Closing of the Campaign of the National Popular Consultation 2026, where he said that “we had to say it in front of our heroes and heroines who died in combat on January 3 when we went to pay homage to him and told the United States: we are going face to face to resolve our historical differences, we are going to resolve them through diplomatic channels”.

In this regard, he urged to establish “this work agenda under the precept of respect in accordance with international legality”.

The president in charge commented that “in 1818, you know, our Liberator Father wrote a letter from Angostura saying: “We are going to establish relations with the government of the United States.” James Monroe was president of the United States and Bolivar said: “We are going to do it with friendship and with good intelligence.”

“Two centuries later, we say, we are going to do it with friendship, with good disposition and with good intelligence for the well-being of the Venezuelan people,” he emphasized.
