The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, received the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence for the purpose of its enactment, as established and enshrined in article 213 of the Constitution.

“The Special Commission for Monitoring the Agreements of the Amnesty Law for National Reconciliation, Democratic Coexistence and Peace, arrives today at the Miraflores Palace carrying not a number of papers. I have to say, you are bringing hope for Venezuela, stressed the President in charge.

In this regard, I welcome the presence of leaders of the opposition and Chavism movement who, with their actions, are guaranteeing a future of peace, coexistence and encounter within Venezuelan society.

“These are not new faces, there are many political actors from the last 25 years and there are also faces of young people for whom we are acting and guaranteeing the future, a future of peace, a future of coexistence, of encounter for our young people, for our boys and for our girls. It was an act of greatness, but also, I have to say it, of detachment from each of us, that we are leaving aside intolerance and opening new avenues for politics in Venezuela, said Rodríguez.

The National Assembly (AN), unanimously approved this Thursday, February 19, in a second discussion, the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence, in accordance with the provisions of article 106 of the Internal Regulations and Debates of the Parliament.
