President in charge: The ICC has been politically manipulated to attack the people of Venezuela

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, ratified the decision on the definitive withdrawal of Venezuela from the International Criminal Court (ICC), “denouncing the Rome Statute, because since its founding and Venezuela was the first country to subscribe to this statute.”

“We believe in true justice, but in his record he has accumulated a record to attack the Global South, the Peoples of the South, including Venezuela. The International Criminal Court has been politically manipulated in such a way, attacking the People of Venezuela, the Venezuelan State, that we don't believe in that type of organization,” he emphasized.

This was stated by the Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), in the courtyard of honor of the Minister of Popular Power for Defense, where she led the ceremony of military promotion in the framework of the 243rd Anniversary of the birth of Simon Bolivar, 203 years of the Naval Battle of the Lake and the Day of the Bolivarian Navy.

He said that “we believe in a different world, in a new world, of peace, of truth, of true peace for the peoples of the world, who today are victims of wars, of violence, of aggression. Peace for the Peoples of the World”.

“We believe in a relationship based on respect for International Law, it should be Venezuela in its international relationship with its guide to Bolivarian Diplomacy for Peace and that I have called so much nationally and I say so internationally,” he said.

The president in charge stressed that the first human decalogue “is to love your neighbor, as the Christian faith says, as you do. Respect the different, the divergent. Loving Nature. Today we know how destructive nature's attacks can be.”

“This decalogue must include social justice, social equality,” he said.
