The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, this Friday, February 13, stressed that tourism in Venezuela is an engine that is not only reflecting a boost in the economy, but also enhances our cultural traditions.
“And to be able to show the world all the tourist beauty of Venezuela,” he emphasized from the state of La Guaira, where he led the start of the Carnival for Peace 2026.
In this regard, he stressed that in La Guaira “well we have beaches, but there are also rivers, mountains, there is a diversity of landscapes for our vacationers to go to”.
“Let's take care of what the joy of Venezuelans means, defend our cultural traditions, like the Locos de Falcón (...) that's the color of Venezuelan identity, of what we are and are doing to defend our peace, tranquility,” he said.
The president in charge also stressed that these Carnivals 2026, “are just another step in this year for us to show the world our great spirituality, to show the world that nothing defeats us, overcomes us. That our history drives us, but the love between Venezuelans and Venezuelans unites us to protect peace.”
“Venezuela is going to enjoy the 2022 Carnival celebrations,” he said.
