The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and the Secretary of Energy of the United States (USA), Christopher Wright, visited the joint venture between Chevron and Petrleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA), Petro Independencia, located in the Orinoco Oil Belt.

The tour is part of the work agenda of Wright, who arrived this Wednesday, February 11, in Caracas on an official visit to develop a constructive energy agenda between the two countries.

In this regard, the US official held a meeting at the Miraflores Palace with the president in charge, at which he highlighted the intention of promoting a strategic cooperation relationship between the United States and Venezuela, aimed at generating greater prosperity and economic stability for both nations.

Meanwhile, Rodríguez explained that, during the meeting, they talked about “projects in the area of oil, gas, mining and electrical energy,” and specified that the delegation that accompanied Wright met with their Venezuelan peers, seeking to agree positions that would allow “to move forward as quickly as possible.”
