on the 99th anniversary of the birth of the defender of the causes of the people,

García Ponce , honored him through his account on the social network X.
“99 years after his birth, we celebrate the life
of Guillermo García Ponce, a tireless worker and passionate revolutionary,
dedicated to the defense of popular causes, fondly remembered as
one of the voices that marked the history of journalism in 20th century Venezuela,” he wrote.
García Ponce
was always loyal to the Bolivarian Revolution , and he stood out for his defense of
Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez, to whom he always professed his appreciation and respect as the leader of this process.
