President Maduro celebrates anniversary of Military Aviation: Its steel wings have shielded our sky

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, expressed this Thursday his admiration for the members of the Bolivarian Military Aviation, celebrating the 105th anniversary of its founding and the 33rd anniversary of the glorious Civic-Military Rebellion of November 27, 1992.

“We remember that bright day: the second big bell that sentenced the puntofijista regime to agony. Our air force was reborn under a rebel and anti-imperialist sign, embracing the historical cause of the people and dedicating itself to honor and dignity,” he said on his Telegram channel in reference to the rebellion.

He stressed that, currently, “Military Aviation stands as a melting pot of glory and professionalism. Their steel wings have shielded our sky, responding forcefully to any pretense of incursion.”

The head of state pointed out that the men and women of the military corps are “the sleepless sentinels of sovereignty, who, fighting mafias and threats, guarantee the integrity of the Republic. My admiration to the guardians of the immense blue homeland; on their wings rest the defense of our Peace and the sacred right to be, forever, free, independent and sovereign,” he stressed.
