The President of the Republic,
Nicolás Maduro, commemorated the 204th Anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo, “a momentous
event that marked the birth of our Homeland as a
free, sovereign and independent entity under the leadership of the Liberator Simon Bolivar.”
Through his
Telegram channel, he noted that “Carabobo was not just a military confrontation
as we were always taught, it was a meticulously
planned strategy, which symbolizes the strength and determination of the Venezuelan people.
This perfect campaign combined distracting maneuvers and attrition with the concentration
of patriotic military force, allowing us to achieve a
definitive victory in record time.”
He also reiterated that 204 years later, Venezuelans
continue with the same spirit and love for our Homeland, challenging the world's
empires and reaffirming that Venezuela will never give up.
“With a heart full of pride for Bolívar, Pedro Camejo and our founding mothers and fathers, we march with determination into the century of power, with the conviction that no one will take away our right to the future and to the victories that are to come,” he added.
