President Maduro cries out “for the lives of child victims of the genocide led by Israel” (+UNICEF)

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised the work of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) this Monday, marking the 76th anniversary of this agency that provides humanitarian aid and development to children and mothers in developing countries.

“On the new anniversary of UNICEF, in recognition of the commendable work of this institution, from Venezuela we cry out for the lives of children, victims of the genocide led by Israel against the Palestinian people. We must build a world of Peace so that the little ones smile, are safe and happy,” wrote the head of state.

UNICEF was created on December 11, 1946, at the end of the Second World War, with the objective of providing assistance to children in Europe and Japan, threatened by hunger and disease. Later, he expanded his work around the world, achieving important advances in the protection of infants.
