President Maduro joins the celebration of the Chinese People for the birth of Mao Tse Tung

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, joined this Tuesday in the celebration of the Chinese People for the 130th anniversary of the birth of the revolutionary leader Mao Tse Tung (Mao Zedong).

Through his account on the social network X, the head of state highlighted Mao as “the great helmsman, an example of revolutionary struggle and father of socialist China. Our embrace and affection to your President Xi Jinping and to the noble Chinese people on this historic day,” he wrote.

Mao Tse Tung was born in the Xiangtang region, Hunan province, on December 26, 1893. At the head of the Communist Party, he assumed power in mainland China in 1949, when the People's Republic was proclaimed, after the victory obtained in the Civil War.
