The head of state, Nicolás Maduro, recalled this Thursday the “poet of the simplest things, Achiles Nazoa”, on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of his physical departure.

Through his account on the social network X, the president wrote: “Remembering the poet of the simplest things, Achiles Nazoa, 48 years after his physical departure, as he declares myself a faithful believer in “the creative powers of the people”, as well as I believe in the inspiring energy of his literary work, immortal, full of humor, love, joy and hope”.

Nazoa was born in 1920 in Caracas, and stood out as a multifaceted poet and writer, who dedicated his life mainly to writing prose texts and poems in which, with a lyrical and fun language, he displayed a vision of intelligent humor and fine irony.
