On the 97th anniversary of the birth of the writer Gabriel García Márquez, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, commemorated the date through a post on his account on the social network X.

“It is 97 years since the birth of Gabriel García Márquez, a genius of Latin American literature who wrote to peoples their struggles, anxieties and dreams. His extensive work is a valuable cultural legacy that continues to add generations from all over the American continent,” wrote the head of state.
