President Maduro pays tribute to teacher Hugo de los Reyes Chávez one year after his planting

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, exalted this Wednesday the memory of Maestro Hugo de los Reyes Chávez, father of Commander Hugo Chávez, one year after his physical departure.

“Along with the people of Barinas, I pay tribute to the memory of the great master Hugo de los Reyes Chávez, who changed his landscape a year ago, when he met his beloved son, our # Commander Chávez,” wrote the Head of State on his Telegram channel, where he shared a video in his honor.

He stressed that the “Oak of the Plain”, as he was also known, “was firm, lucid, in battle and thinking, until the last second, of his countrymen and women”. In addition, he recalled “the good humor, humility, wisdom and affection” of Hugo de los Reyes.

“May God have him in his heights and in his protection,” added President Maduro.
